We will pick you up from the International Airport to start our tour. This day we will start to show you why our town was listed as a World Heritage Site. We will take you to visit the old royal temples of Wat Visoun and Wat That Makmo, as well as the magnificent ornations at Wat Xieng Thong. We will then climb atop Phousi Hill to get a scenic overlook of the town before stopping by the Night Market in the evening for a bit of shopping.
We will be taking a boat trip to the Pak Ou Caves to explore the many passageways that contain thousands of Buddhist relics. Next, we will stop by a local rice whisky distillation village (Ban Xang Hai) as well as an ancient pottery village. We willl proceed onwards to the weaving village of Ban Phanom and a paper making village (Ban Xienglek). The evening is free time for you to wander around the beautiful town of Luang Prabang or relax in the spa at Hotel Maison Souvannaphoum.
At dawn, we will be able to experience the sacred Alms Giving procession (Tak Bat). We will then head over to the National Museum (the former Royal Palace). Next, we will embark on a Walking tour to explore some of the historically significant structures around town. We will stop by a coffee shop to try some Lao coffee before our flight to Vientiane. You’ll have some free time to wander around the capitol city prior to attending a dinner and cultural show in the evening.
Our city tour of Vientiane encompasses the best that Vientiane has to offer, including visits four historically significant structures: Wat Prakeo, Wat Sisaket, Wat That Luang, as well as the iconic Patuxai Monument. Next we will wander through the massive Morning Market (Talat Sao) before heading to the National Museum. We will then head over to Buddha Park (Wat Xieng Khuan), a unique outdoor park comprised of Buddhist and Hindu sculptures along the Mekong River. We will be passing by the Friendship Bridge that connects Lao to Thailand. After we return to town, we will be attending a dinner and cultural show.
We will have a bit of free time before we transport you to Wattay International Airport or the Friendship Bridge for your departure.
